The industry is one of the most important in the county, contributing millions of pounds to the Cornish economy each year. There is a local primary school and the main town of Penzance is just a short walk along the promenade. Smaller houses in Newlyn start from around £150,000 but they sell very quickly as its becoming very popular. The further up the hill you buy the better the views.
