An idyllic fishing cove and great surf beach
Sennen Cove boasts one of the loveliest stretches of sand in Cornwall, Whitesands Beach, and still retains much of the atmosphere of an old fishing village. There is a Life boat station, pubs, cafes, restaurants, local shop, galleries, surf school and Primary school. Sunny Corner Lane and Marias Lane have some of the best albeit most expensive properties in Penwith. There are a number of smaller houses available also.

DownloadSennen is a small village near Land's End, so transport there is much more limited than in Penzance - mainly one bus route plus road access.
Bus
Sennen is served by the service 1/1A route, which runs from Penzance to Land's End via St Buryan and Sennen, currently operated by Go Cornwall Bus (this route was previously run by First Bus, which withdrew all its Cornwall services in February 2026). It's part of the wider Transport for Cornwall network, so live timetables and any disruption notices are best checked on their app or website, since West Cornwall routes have seen periodic diversions from roadworks and storms.
Road
Sennen sits just off the A30, the main route running the length of Cornwall from the M5 near Exeter out to Land's End - it's the last village before the A30 terminates. By road it's about 9 miles (15–20 minutes) from Penzance.
Rail
There's no railway station in Sennen - the nearest is Penzance, the terminus of the Great Western line from London Paddington (also served by the Night Riviera sleeper), about 9 miles away.
Air
Land's End Airport, just north of Sennen, runs Skybus flights to the Isles of Scilly (around 15 minutes).
Since Sennen's public transport is limited to essentially one bus route, many visitors drive or use Penzance as a base and travel out for the day.
